I am a living testimony of losing weight in just 1 step – ZUMBA!

I know it may sound absurd but it’s true. I have a fair share of worrying on how to ever lose my extra fats which I gained before and after my pregnancy. And to be very honest, I didn’t have to lose the excess weight once, I had to do it twice! This is the sole reason why I wanted to share my firsthand experience to my readers here on Everyday with Gen website. (www.everydaywithgen.com)

During my first pregnancy, I thought walking with my baby and her stroller would do the trick but it was almost a year of the said routine, I still looked like having a 24-week old babybump.

After a year and a half of my first born, I conceived my second child. After delivering my son in 2014, it was during that time I had difficulty realizing the walking routine since I needed to carry two babies, one toddler baby girl and a chubby baby boy. It was quite unimaginable for a petite like me to be able to handle the weight every single strolling day!

I couldn’t remember why I was scrolling youtube that time but I accidentally saw a video entitled “HAYPA”. Haypa is a short term for Hayop a! This phrase has several meanings depending on how you use it. Hayop however means animal in English. (Watch here: https://youtu.be/WoAJep6fi0s)

I believe the idea is simple. Exercise regularly and do it at the same time of the day. This way, your body would adapt to the time table and it would definitely bring you a positive outcome. Zumba doesn’t have to be expensive and you don’t need to be with a group to be able to do it.

There are so many videos available on youtube. What you need to do is to be very diligent with the routine and follow the schedule religiously. As soon as you achieve your average weight, you can shorten the dancing time and just maintain that everyday!

In my case, I started with 2 hours straight dancing in the morning. Since I was with my kids so I didn’t even notice the time. Dancing is best for children. It improves their mood as well as their cognitive skills. You never see a dancer crying, do you?

It would be ideal to dance for an hour at first until you manage to get your target weight and then have a 30 minute regular work out to maintain your weight.
