Denim is the New In! What’s impossible is now Possible!

What does denim mean in fashion?Denim is a strong cotton fabric made using a twill weave, which creates a subtle diagonal ribbing pattern. The cotton twill fabric is warp-facing, meaning that the weft threads go under two or more warp threads, and the warp yarns are more prominent on the right side.

Why is it called denim?

The term “denim” derives from the French “serge de Nimes”, meaning “serge (a sturdy fabric) from Nimes”. Yet the fabric is no longer produced anywhere in France. Sagot therefore buys the denim canvas from the Venice region of Italy, made on an old shuttle-loom from the 1950s. Nimes once had a booming textile industry. (Reference: Google)

For this Handmade OOTD, I manually sew the Tube Top from the pair of jeans I cut short. This tube is from the calf area. All you have to do is to look for a stretchable jean, cut the calf part, cut it open, then sew the two pieces, create holes for the shoe lace to open and close the top tightly.

For the pants, all you have to prepare is a straight cut jeans, cut front slits up to where you are confident showing your uper leg, and then embellish the slits with any beautiful fabric decor. For this, I used gold sequence.
