Early Years 1980’s Stage Presence

As early as 3 years old, Chini Huang has been performing on stage. She knew that her life was meant to serve God’s purpose and that’s being able to share her talent in singing, dancing and acting to the kids and in the communities to honor the Almighty.

Who is Chini Huang?

Chini Huang is the first Filipina Media Personality to be very popular in Taiwan with features on television, radio, printed materials and on social media. She is called Zhang Laoshi, a Social Media Influencer and a KOL. She is a 40 year old Cebuana married to a Taiwanese and blessed with two beautiful kids, BBKZ.

So many people are wondering how did she earn her popularity in Taiwan? Here are the fun facts about Chini Huang that not everyone knows.

1. She started performing on stage at 3 years old. She led the action song for the kids during the Flores de Mayo in Cebu in many years. She was given the microphone almost all the time because the Catechists saw her talent in singing and dancing as early as 3 years old. She could memorize the lyrics and the actions so well that the rest of the Angels followed her all the time.
2. At 5, Chini Huang attended the stage acting special course and was part of the dramatic group called Lamdag. From that time on, she has been acting in many communities, cities and provinces in the Visayas region.
3. Apart from singing, dancing and acting at her early age, she has been hosting and organizing events. At school, she participated in many extracurricular activities including cheerleading and school program hosting.
4. At her teenage years, she was part of a female dance group that had won dance contests while continuing her career in acting.
5. In her university years, she willingly shared her talents. She hosted class events, choreographed Fitness Competition demonstration, performed on stage and most of all acted with some Radio stars in Cebu.

A total performer indeed since Childhood. Chini Huang had been a part of the performers’ list at school, in the church and the community. She was known by many due to her talent in singing, which she had won at school and in some amateur singing contests in her community, her leadership in the church and the endless stage presence in several public occasions.

Another fun fact about Chini Huang that many of her followers didn’t know was her academic achievement despite her constant presence on stage. In the Philippines, one would assume that if you are on stage, you would probably do bad academically but Chini Huang was indeed a consistent academic achiever. Chini Huang can be a role model to many children now. The greatest impact she could give to the youth of today, is her diligence in everything she did at school and in the community and most of all her unwavering faith in God. For she never forgets God. She puts God in the center of all the opportunities she have had and her strong faith made her consistent then and now.

Of all the stage performances she had, truly it was unfortunate she didn’t even get a video of all the tears she cried on stage every act she portrayed in many places in Cebu.

1. After college, Chini Huang continued her presence on stage by performing and hosting during special occasions at work and in some places in Cebu.
2. By 2006 she started her Social Media Network on Friendster.

The Pride of the Filipino People

In almost 16 years now, Chini Huang, the Filipino Media in Taiwan continues to wow the locals with her fascinating beauty, intelligence and talent. Her media presence has always been consistent and she dedicates it to the young generation. When asked why she does what she is doing, Chini Huang smiled and said,

I am doing this for my kids and to all Filipino Taiwanese in Taiwan. I am boosting our Filipino reputation and promoting the real talents of the Filipino people because we have so much to offer and by culture education, discrimination will be lessen and bullying towards the Filipino Taiwanese kids would be gone for good because through my example and my programs, our Filipino identity would be known as great and talented race not just a mere Maria.
