One thing you should do before visiting this 5 star hotel in case you didn’t want to stay here but just taste their mouthwatering delicious food whether in the buffet or in their other private dining rooms, you should call and make a reservation first with the exact number and age of guests because it would definitely be uncomfortable as well as difficult to wait for a table if you are a walk in guest.

Aside from the captivating traditional design that’s ultimately instagram-able, one experience you shouldn’t miss here is the city view that’s just overlooking from your hotel room or from the garden. Even if you would just stand at the white stairs situated at the grand facade of the hotel, the breathtaking view of the metropolitan would surely catch your attention.

There is more than meets the eye in this famous and extravagant hotel. It has secrets that has been passed from generations to generations. It is said that this luxurious hotel also has a secret passage that was reported to fit in 10 000 people! Imagine that! I wonder how many prominent people who stayed in The Grand Hotel and escaped the paparazzi with the help of this discreet passage?

Honestly speaking, if not for this Travel article for Everyday with Gen, I wouldn’t even know that there is another “The Grand Hotel” in Kaohsiung! However, I am still fortunate enough to live near this picturesque 5-star hotel so I could drop by anytime I want. I wish I could vividly describe how quaint this place is yet its beauty is beyond words. It has this certain vibe that would make you feel like an empress or an emperor everytime you walk on that ruby carpet flooring.

Aside from the undeniable beautiful sceneries, comfortable stay and relaxing ambiance, The Grand Hotel Taipei is a depot for good food. If you’re a foodie, you would really want to dine here. Since I have very young kids, we often reserve for Tea Time that’s less than 1000NT per guest.

The tea time starts at 2pm and ends around 5 pm so it’s just enough for my babies to have enough rest after the stroll around the hotel after dining in. The best part is, the sunset that’s visible at one side of The Grand Hotel Taipei.

What’s the good thing in their buffet in this Tea Time schedule is the variety of food that would surely satisfy a big appetite like mine. So don’t worry about starving pal! LOL

Aside from my frequent personal visits in this 5 star hotel with my family and friends, I also held my annual event here for women last 2019. This advocacy is for empowering women and I call it Empowered Women’s Gala.

During that year, the theme was “Empowered Woman empower women to be healthy” so the women did basic self defense lessons and exercises to keep oneself sound. We also had the life sharing experiences and Empowered Woman coronation. An unforgettable day in The Grand Hotel indeed!
