A photo of the archeological site in Shisan Hang Museum year 2009 Best places you must visit in New Taipei City this 2023!
Aside from the ghost stories and a way to Taoyuan Airport, I don’t know anything special about Bali until I went to Shisan Hang Museum and learn something about the place. Imagine, Bali which seems to have very little constituents was once a prosperous town hundreds of years BEFORE Taipei existed.
Well, if you go to Bali’s Old Street, one would just see a very simple kind of living yet amazing view yeah, but still it would be hard to believe that the place has hundreds of years of history and I’m pretty sure not everyone knows about it. Best places you must visit in New Taipei City
This museum, and as you guys can see in these pictures below, shows an excavation of an ancient settlement in Bali. You can also see artifacts and the story of the excavation itself. And here’s the thing, the site revealed something about their burial ceremonies and you know what?
The reason why Bali has ghost stories is, it is in fact, a place where you can find the cemetery in New Taipei City. Like, from its past until present, the place actually remains a place for the you know.
But let’s move on from its ghost stories. The ancient settlers of Bali seemed to show skills in making boats and sailing the seas due to the unearthed overseas products and deep-sea bones! I mean guys, how interesting is it to know how the Taiwanese people lived hundreds of years ago?
Shisan Hang Museum is perfect for your kids and family too! Around the area you can also enjoy some recreational activities like biking or perhaps strolling the beautiful landscape in Bali! Best places you must visit in New Taipei City

One of the premier destinations in northern Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark is home to a number of unique geological formations including the iconic “Queen’s Head” (女王頭), and is located along a cape stretching out from the town of Wanli.
Part of the Daliao Miaocene Formation, the cape stretches around 1,700 meters, formed as thousands of years of geological movement forced the Datun Mountains to change their shape, jutting out into the ocean.
Besides the Queen’s Head, other remarkable formations include Sea Candles (燭台石), Fairy Shoe (仙女鞋), Ginger Rocks, Elephant Rock, Ice Cream Rock, Kissing Rock, and Princess’ Head.
Next to the geopark is the Yehliu Ocean World (野柳海洋世界), which is an oceanarium with ocean exhibits, and sea life including dolphin and sea lion performances. Tickets for the oceanarium can be reserved online, and is a fun addition to the more educational experience at the geopark. Best places you must visit in New Taipei City

5. Yingge Ceramics Museum
Address: No. 200, Wunhua Road, Yingge District, New Taipei City Best places you must visit in New Taipei City
Yingge is perhaps one of the underrated tourist destinations in Taiwan. I have come to this conclusion because I have so many friends from different parts of the world, not just from the Philippines, and yet the photos posted on their social media are similar. It feels like they were all in one place at one time.
There are so many reasons why you should choose Yingge as your next travel destination in Taiwan. One of them is the rich culture and history of the place. The name Yingge in fact is an interesting thing to discover and I even want to get back to Yingge just to find the stone where Yingge was named after.
