1. Douliu Baseball Stadium

The Douliou Baseball Stadium (Chinese: 斗六棒球場; pinyin: Dòuliù Bàngqiú Chǎng) is a baseball stadium in Douliu City, Yunlin County, Taiwan. It was opened in 2005 and has a capacity of 15,000 people.^[1]

If people travel to places to witness their idol’s concert, some go for a long ride to cheer their favorite team! Yup! Taiwan also hosts international games like IBAF or International Baseball Federation. In fact, the IBAF was held here this year and everyone was so thrilled just like how I felt when I was there in Douliou Baseball Stadium for IBAF 2008.

2. Puli Shaosing Brewery

This Puli Shaosing Brewery is in Nantou Taiwan. Perhaps not everyone would be so familiar with the place but if I say it is where you can find the famous “Sun Moon Lake”, then I believe you can now imagine where it is.

This Puli Shaosing Brewery was our stopover before enjoying the beautiful sights at Sun Moon Lake but I had a great time touring around the place. They offered free taste of their wines and food. You can also shop some handmade products, try their interactive brewery exhibits and explore the beautiful landscape.

Due to the warm weather and sweet, clear water that the Puli area of central Taiwan enjoys, the Puli Brewery Factory has come to be known for producing excellent quality Shaoxing (Shaohsing) Wine featuring a bright yellow appearance and a vigorous fragrance.

Puli Brewery Factory is devoted to establishing the landmark feature of Puli as the Hometown of Shaoxing (Shaohsing) Wine. Aside from actively promoting the culture of Shaoxing (Shaohsing) Wine, there are also putting more efforts in preserving the history of the winery, it is the first Wine Culture Museum in Taiwan. 3. Sun Moon Lake

Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area has a rich indigenous culture, and excellent agricultural products. 4. Qingtian Street Daan Taipei “The Celebrity Village”

The environs of Daan Park (大安森林公園) are characterized by modern buildings and the busy traffic of a modern city. But if you cross the road and follow the back streets, you will soon come to the ”Emerald of Taipei:” Qingtian Street (青田街), where noise fades into tranquility, and leafy giants stand quietly before rustic wooden houses of the Japanese style . While time passes by, Qingtian Street still retains its elegant look in a gentle attitude.

This street was also home to rooming houses for Taipei Imperial University (now National Taiwan University) professors, and many Japanese officials lived here as well. After the Restoration in 1945, these houses became living quarters for National Taiwan University staff, and, as many heavyweight politicians and movie stars love this corner of the city too, it can be called the very first “celebrity village” in Taiwan. 5. Lin An Tai Historical House and Museum

About 200 years ago, Lin An Tai Historical House was built in the orientation toward southwest at an auspicious location in terms of good Feng Shui. It was a very refined 2-partitioned and 5-annex old house with a square.

　In 1978, due to the facts that it was rejected to be listed as a historical site and it happen to located within the range for the project to expand Dunhua S. Road. Lin An Tai Historical House was faced with a destiny of being taken apart. Fortunately, under the suggestions and petitions of the scholars and experts, a project of moving it for reconstruction had been formed.

　In May 2000, the Lin An Tai Historical House and Museum was opened to the public under the elaborate planning by Department of Civil Affairs, Taipei City Government. After extending the courtyard in 2010, it became parts of exhibition halls in Taipei International Flora Exposition.

6. Beitou Hot Spring

Beitou is a place known to many. It has landmarks that attract so many domestic and international tourists. The most visited attractions are the hot springs spots and the wooden library but the most famous one is the hot spring museum.

Why do the Taiwanese people love hot springs and now I believe more and more tourists are adding it in their itinerary? Well first, the benefit of a quick dip in a natural hot spring is relaxation and a youthful glow. What I had was a nice day tour around Beitou then had a dinner at one of the resorts plus a hot soak for an hour. 7. Yangmingshan National Park

Yangmingshan National Park is situated on the northern edge of the Taipei Basin, and is bordered on the east by Mt. Huangzui and Mt. Wuzhi, to the western foothills of Mt. Honglu and Mt. Xiangtian, the northern edge by Mt. Zhuzi and Tudigong Ridge, and to the south by the southern foothills of Mt. Shamao. The park covers a total area of approximately 11,334 hectares, with elevations ranging from 56 to 1,120 meters above sea level.

Due to its latitude and elevation above sea level, the climate patterns of Yangmingshan National Park feature both sub-tropical and warm temperate climates, with prominent seasonal monsoons. Best Places to visit in Taiwan 2024

During the spring season of February and March, the weather on the Yangmingshan area remains unstable, alternating between warm and cold weather. In the summer, the south-west monsoons bring about occasional thunderstorms in the afternoon. As the rainy mist dissipates, rainbows often appear across mountain valleys, showcasing a different side of Yangmingshan during rainy days.

In the autumn month of October, silvergrass forms an undulating sea of flowers; as the season progresses, the red leaves of the maple adorn the treetops, interweaving with golden leaves to form the famous “Datun Autumn Scene.” In winter, the northeast monsoons sweep over the mountains with chilling rains. This combination of high humidity and cold temperatures turns the park into a foggy and misty world during particular strong periods of a cold spell, snow can even occur around the areas of Mt. 8. Xin Beitou

I find it truly interesting to see so many similarities between the Philippines and Taiwan. As easy as a quick ride at Taipei MRT, you’ll access landmarks that’s so pleasurable for a traveler like you and me. All you have to do is to ride MRT to Beitou, then transfer to Xin Beitou and voila you’ll get to explore the Beitou Wooden Library that feels like Noah’s Ark, Beitou Park, Beitou Hotspring Museum, Beitou Hiking Trail and so many other places that you can actually just pin on google map.

One advantage in traveling Taiwan is that accessibility whether information or transportation. If you have google app, you would be able to read reliable reviews from local guides about the place you wish to visit and explore.

9. Beitou Park

Beitou is a nice place of Taipei and is the best of the best. It is the new hometown of hot springs known throughout the world. It is also a tourist attraction located in the suburb of Taipei with a land area of 56.82 square kilometers. It has various natural scenic sites such as Yangmingshan National Park, Guandu Natural Park, Macao Hot Spring, Xiaoyoukeng, Zhuzihu, Qingtiangang, Junjian Rock, and Guizkeng; it has relics such as Guandu Temple, Beitou Hot Spring Museum, and Puji Temple.; These are the must-see places.

Beitou is suitable for a tour all year round. In Beitou, spring is ideal for watching cherry flowers; summer is a season when dragon boat races and sunset can be watched. 10. Shimen Reservoir

If I ask every tourist in Taiwan about a name of the places they had been, each of them might answer Taoyuan. Taoyuan is known for its international airport but have you heard of its famous landmarks?

The great view, landscape, ferry ride and hiking only here at Shimen Reservoir. What’s great about the hiking trail is that it is so convenient for the elderlies and kids. It is a place for friends and families for certain.
