Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall is super famous to the local and international tourists. It is one of the easiest national monument to spot on because it has a station named after it. This simply means that you can just ride the Red Line MRT and stop at Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall and then you are in this place waiting for you to explore. This isn’t just a beautiful landmark. It also has a garden and interesting exhibits for you to learn more about Taiwan’s history and culture.

2. National Taiwan Science Education Center

If you’re looking for a not so usual Taiwan Travel kinda thing, then you might want to drop by here at National Taiwan Education Center. Apart from exciting interactive learning experiences and the 3D Theater, it has a monorail bicycle that would be a nice addition to your travel milestone in Taiwan! 4. Taipei Arts Park or Fine Arts Park

This is one of the most attractive park in Taipei City. Although the area has been transformed into an Expo Park in 2010, this place has continued to be one of the frequently visited parks in the metro. This is perfect for the family, the kids and the squad too. This was once called Taipei Arts Park now known as Expo Park or Fine Arts Park. 6. Taipei Story House

We all have stories to tell and for me, having too many makes me wanna choose the ones that impacted me the most. To be honest, this Taipei Story House is just around the corner, somewhere near the Fine Arts Museum but not everyone gazes on its beauty but not me. Every time I pass by this area in Zhongshan Road, I always try to peak on this Taipei Story House ‘coz I find it really lovely. It’s like a house full of dreams and adventures.

Taipei Story House holds exhibits and sells some souvenir items too. Not all international tourists knows about this place so if you happen to come to Taiwan, why not be adventurous with your photography skills and try to create a nice souvenir pic with this Story House at the background. I did try, in my prenuptial photo but it wasn’t that successful so let the challenge begin!

7. Qianggang Park Shilin Taipei City

A swimming pool, a skating rink, a playground for the kids? What else are you looking for? This Qianggang Park is pretty convenient to locate. It’s just a few minutes walk from Jiantan MRT Station and it also is near a hotel plus it has its own parking lot too. I know Summer season is everyone’s favorite so why not enjoy an early dip here at Qianggang Park Swimming pool and then have a blast at Shilin Night Market from dusk ’til dawn. Quite a plan for a city staycation.

8. Miramar Ferris Wheel

It may be unnecessary to promote Miramar to the foreigners here in Taiwan because its gigantic Ferris Wheel is so popular and the only one in Taipei. But.. but.. but.. if you plan to visit Taiwan from other countries, and the weather is so bad when you arrive in Taipei, Miramar Mall is a fun alternative!

You can hit two birds at one stone with the ferris wheel ride plus the top view of the metropolitan. I also love watching flicks here ‘coz the theaters are neat and spacious! There are so many ways to enjoy this gigantic mall too like shopping and playing games! So how to reach Miramar? There are two ways to come here:

One, is to ride the MRT to Wenhu Line and then stop at Jiannan Road Station or

Two, Ride Bus 957 and stop at Jiannan Road Station.

9. Maokong Gondola

Maokong Gondola is something you guys should try if you visit Taiwan. The view will surely give you that relaxing feeling. Now what I did on this trip was a money saver. I bought Taipei Pass for a day and then I was able to ride the cable car from Taipei Zoo for free. You can inquire at any MRT Reception to avail latest promos in Taipei.

Maokong Gondola isn’t just a cable car ride. You can explore the place too! They have food and scenic spots for an instagramable photo.

10. Guandu Nature Park

If you think Guandu only has its wharf for you, then you’re wrong. There is more to discover here! For a start, let’s talk about this Guandu Nature Park.

Guandu Nature Park is situated in north Taiwan, at the junction of Tamshui and Keelung rivers, with Datun mountain to the northeast and Guanyin mountain to the southwest. The park is a biodiversity environment of about 57 hectares and divides into 4 parts – Main Area, Core Reserve Area, Outdoor Observational Area and Sustainable Management Area; the landscape consists of woodland, streams, creeks, brackish ponds and rice paddies.

It is a major stopover site for migrating birds, especially waterfowl and shorebirds, and is an important wintering and breeding ground for many species; 229 species of birds have been observed qualifying this wetland as an Important Bird Area (IBA), recognised by Bird Life International (IBA site description).

There are over 830 species of animals, including birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, mammals, bristle worms, snails, crustaceans, and insects.
