Are you familiar with the phrase “Night Market”? Do you have this in your country? I have been to many nations but I noticed “Night Market” is a trend in Taiwan. Isn’t that outrageous? Do you know that there are more than 300 night markets in Taiwan?

This includes the popular and unpopular as well as the big and small ones. I used to think that market refers only to what we call a “Wet market”. You know, that kind of place where you have to wake up early in the morning to grab the best fish and meat with the best price?

But the night market in Taiwan is so much fun! I wouldn’t even mind strolling every night. Well, that is if, I wouldn’t run out of money ‘coz night market in Taiwan would literally make you shop until you drop! Wow NTD! In Taiwan we call it “NTD” which stands for New Taiwan Dollar while in the global currency you will see “TWD” or Taiwan Dollar.

If you’re a foodie, you can drool endlessly on your photo with the fresh supah hot chunky beef steak, a steamy hotpot or a stinky tofu! Stinky Tofu in Taiwan is called “chòu dòu fǔ 臭豆腐”. “Chou means stinky”! Most of the people who tried the stinky tofu love the miraculously tongue craving flavor but a little bit emotionally complicated with the smell. However if you get used to it, you would definitely forget the smell.
